Over the past 60 years literally thousands of military personnel and family members have connected with this ministry. These aren’t just casual acquaintances—connecting with an MTTM/FOI community is like becoming part of an extended family. One retired soldier recently told us that one of his lifelong friendships began during their four year involvement with a ministry center in Germany. One of the families they connected with only overlapped their tour by eleven months but during that short time they built bonds that would link their two families for more than thirty years.
The greatest champions for Freedom Outreach is this connected ‘band of brothers. Persons who were blessed by the ministry of a center or fellowship during their deployment know the value of these connecting places. No single group prays more pointedly, gives more consistently and serves more faithfully than this group of ministry alumni and friends. We value their friendship and continued partnership. We seek to keep them connected with meaningful communication and opportunities for fellowship and service. Quarterly printed communication via a letter and Prayer Guide. Monthly email news blasts, annual national or regional retreats and periodic local fellowship gatherings are some of the ways we seek to keep this vital group informed and engaged. Without their ongoing support the ministry would have to be greatly scaled back.
